Chris Kennedy, owner of Kennedy Construction Services, has been remodeling and building homes in the northwest-metro Atlanta area since 1991.

Never in the history of Kennedy Home Service has the company been a funeral home, but that didn't stop people from mistaking Kennedy Home Service for a funeral parlor. Chris can only guess that the confusion came about because of having "home" and "service" in the name.

Each day the mail brought brochures on new services that could be offered through funeral homes, newspapers selling limousines and funeral coaches and Chris' favorite -- information on the funeral home directors annual convention, always in Las Vegas and featuring seminars that sounded like they were straight out of horror movie.

After answering one-too-many phone calls that started with the caller asking, "How do you dispose of your medical waste?", Chris decided it was time to change the name of the company.

That's how Kennedy Construction Services was born. In the short time since the name was changed, the phone calls asking for the funeral director have stopped completely and company mail is much less bizarre, but more relevant.

If you've done business with Kennedy Home Service in the past, you can still feel comfortable with Kennedy Construction Services. It is owned by the same folks and promises the same focus on customer service. In fact, service may be better now that Chris isn't distracted by thoughts of seminars on how to apply make up to the recently deceased.
